Master Olanzo Boynes

Master Olanzo Boynes

Biography

Olanzo Boynes returned to the British Virgin Islands in 2009, reintroducing Taekwondo to the territory after years of dedicated training and teaching abroad. A third-degree black belt certified through both World Taekwondo (USA) and Kukkiwon (Korea), Boynes brings over 25 years of international experience in the martial art.

In December 2009, he founded the Boynes Taekwondo Academy, a cornerstone for youth development in the Virgin Islands. Through the Academy, he has created a structured and supportive environment where children and young adults build character, confidence, discipline, and leadership through the study of Olympic-style Taekwondo — including Poomsae, Kyorugi, and Hosingyreorugi.

His program not only develops athletic ability but also instills lifelong values such as respect, perseverance, and self-control, empowering youth to become positive contributors to their communities.
