Biography

Grandmaster Danrey C. Velo is a distinguished Taekwondo Master, educator, and national leader committed to promoting the art and discipline of Taekwondo in the Philippines and worldwide. A Licensed Professional Teacher with a Master's in Physical Education, he has combined academic expertise and martial discipline to inspire excellence among athletes, students, and instructors alike.

He began his Taekwondo journey at age 13 and became a varsity athlete at St. Louis University, where his competitive career flourished. Over the years, he became both a National and International Taekwondo Champion.

A former Civilian Instructor at the Philippine Military Academy and Instructor in Human Kinetics at the University of the Philippines-Baguio, Grandmaster Velo has trained numerous athletes and coaches who have excelled nationally and internationally.

He founded 'Champions for Change,' a civic group that uses Taekwondo to promote discipline, leadership, and community transformation. His lifelong mission is to propagate Taekwondo nationwide, inspiring excellence, respect, and perseverance among Filipino practitioners.

With decades of experience as a competitor, educator, coach, and international leader, Grandmaster Danrey C. Velo continues to dedicate his life to propagating Taekwondo throughout the Philippines, developing future champions, and strengthening the nation's global presence in martial arts.
